Associate Professorship in Energy Security

Job Opportunity

The Faculty of Law at the University of Lapland is seeking to appoint a legal scholar or a political/social scientist for a Professorship or Associate Professorship in Energy Security. This is a strategic and targeted international recruitment with secured funding for a research team and project costs for up to five years.

Research Focus

  • The appointed scholar will work on the regulation and governance of vulnerabilities and security risks associated with energy transitions.

  • The position is part of the LOST – Law, Technology and Sustainability Transitions research group and contributes to the ATLAS profiling area, which focuses on legal and policy development for sustainability transitions in the Arctic.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must currently be working outside Finland on a non-temporary basis.
