Climate Adaptation and Resilience in Tropical Drylands

Fellowship

The Postdoctoral Fellow will contribute to the Climate Adaptation and Resilience in Tropical Drylands (CLARITY) project, a collaborative initiative exploring equitable, sustainable, and climate-resilient development pathways in tropical drylands. CLARITY establishes ‘Transformational Labs’ (T-Labs) in India (Raichur and Chintamani districts, Karnataka) alongside similar efforts in Tanzania, Niger, and Nigeria. The project employs diverse methodologies, including narrative co-construction, para-hydrogeological training, and pathway modeling, to inform policy and practice.

This 18-month postdoctoral fellowship offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated researcher to conduct independent, impactful research within the context of the CLARITY project. The fellows will be encouraged to develop and pursue a research agenda aligned with their interests while contributing to the broader goals of equitable and climate-resilient development in tropical drylands. A strong emphasis will be placed on scholarly output, including peer-reviewed publications and effective communication of research findings to diverse audiences.
