The European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) is seeking three (3) motivated and talented early career researchers to join its dynamic, interdisciplinary team. EIEE welcomes applications from candidates with strong programming skills and a background in environmental science, economics, engineering, or related fields. Prior experience in modeling—particularly in climate-energy-economic systems—and expertise in computational science, environmental economics, or energy systems modeling will be considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities:
Join the modeling teams at EIEE and work in a highly collaborative, international environment.
Contribute to the development and application of integrated assessment models (IAMs), including:
Climate-energy-economy models with detailed sectoral processes
Energy system optimization models
Macroeconomic and policy evaluation models
Collaborate in international research consortia and work on externally funded European projects.
Co-author and contribute to scientific publications, European project deliverables, and policy-relevant reports.
Present research outcomes at scientific conferences, workshops, and policy forums.
