YOUNGO—the official children and youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)—is pleased to announce the launch of the first cohort of the Just Transition Academy, a global training opportunity for young people active in climate and sustainable development.
The Academy aims to empower youth with the knowledge and skills needed to understand just transition and climate justice and to meaningfully engage in international climate policy dialogues, including preparations for COP30.
Program Highlights
In-depth training on just transition and climate justice
Collaborative and inclusive learning environment with youth from around the world
Guidance and mentorship from climate and policy experts
Networking and peer-learning within the global YOUNGO community
Eligibility Criteria
Aged between 18 and 35
Interested or experienced in climate justice, sustainability, or social/environmental advocacy
Intention to engage in COP30
Conversational proficiency in English (the program will be conducted entirely in English)
Able to commit 3–4 hours per week during the program period
Stable internet access to participate in online sessions
