Job Opportunity

The Ministry of Water and Environment in Yemen, in collaboration with the NDC Partnership and with support from the Green Climate Fund (GCF), announces a vacancy for a Climate Policy and Investment Advisor.

The advisor will work closely with the Director of the Climate Change Unit and report to the NDC Partnership Country Engagement Specialist. Coordination with national NDC focal points and the NDC Partnership Support Unit will be essential.

Updating and implementing Yemen’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) is not only a strategic climate priority but also a key tool to support economic recovery, sustainable development, and improved access to international climate finance. The advisor will play a critical role in supporting the development and submission of Yemen’s first official NDC by strengthening institutional capacity, facilitating cross-sectoral coordination, and ensuring inclusive stakeholder engagement. The updated NDC will reflect national development goals, climate vulnerabilities, and opportunities for a green transition.
