Job Opportunity

The Climate Resilience Fund (CRF) is seeking a senior-level Development Officer to lead and expand its philanthropic fundraising efforts. This role focuses on building relationships with foundations, institutional funders, and strategic partners to support CRF’s mission of advancing equitable climate resilience and sustainability for communities and ecosystems. The Development Officer will play a key role in shaping fundraising strategies, managing a high-value portfolio, and representing CRF externally to grow visibility and impact. Candidates should have deep experience in nonprofit fundraising, environmental causes, and working with U.S.-based philanthropic networks.

Responsibilities

Lead cultivation and stewardship of institutional donors and partners.
Manage donor portfolio and secure multi-year funding.
Develop proposals and fundraising materials tailored to funder priorities.
Track and report on fundraising progress using CRM systems.
Identify co-funding opportunities and strategic collaborations.
Translate CRF’s work into compelling narratives for funders.
Represent CRF at meetings, panels, and events.
Participate in organizational strategy and align development goals.
Support leadership in donor outreach and stewardship.
Promote a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
Oversee timely grant submissions, compliance, and donor reporting.
Improve development systems and fundraising processes.
Maintain accurate records of deadlines, proposals, and donor engagement.

Qualifications

8–10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a proven track record in securing significant funding.
Experience managing donor portfolios and cultivating long-term relationships.
Strong grant writing, storytelling, and communication skills.
Familiarity with CRM systems and project tracking tools.
Strategic thinking with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
