The Professor of Economics with a specialization in Food Security and Climate Change at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) will be responsible for conducting high-impact research, teaching courses in environmental and agricultural economics, and engaging with policymakers, international organizations, and industry stakeholders to address the challenges of global food security and climate change. He/she will focus on agricultural sustainability, climate-smart policies, economic resilience, and global food systems, integrating economic theories with real-world applications. The ideal candidate will have expertise in climate adaptation policies, agricultural trade and policy reforms, economic modeling of food systems, and environmental risk assessment. The role involves securing research grants, publishing in top-tier journals, supervising student research, and contributing to institutional and national-level policy discussions.
