Senior Researcher

Role Overview

As a researcher at EUMENA, you will play a pivotal role in leading research initiatives across key development areas, such as agriculture, food, energy, natural resources, and social policy. You will work closely with the founder to shape research strategies, provide thought leadership, and ensure our projects contribute to impactful policy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and design research projects in collaboration with our team, focusing on key sectors including agriculture, food, energy, natural resources, and social policy.

• Produce high-quality research reports, policy briefs, and publications for diverse stakeholders.

• Collaborate with local and international partners, including government agencies, NGOs, and academic institutions.
  

• Mentor and support junior researchers, ensuring quality standards are upheld across all projects.
  

• Contribute to strategic discussions and represent EUMENA in conferences, workshops, and dialogues.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a relevant field, such as Environmental Economics, Sociology, Agriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Policy, or Development Studies.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in development research, consultancy, or academia.

• A deep understanding of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s development challenges is a strong advantage.

• Proven experience in working on projects that address social, economic, and environmental challenges.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce well-crafted reports and effectively communicate research findings to non-specialist audiences.

• Demonstrated experience in leading teams and managing research projects.
